Shawnee Mission Medical Center

Shawnee Mission Medical Center is a private, non-profit, community hospital owned and operated by the Adventist Health System, a part of the worldwide organization of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. It is located on a 54-acres site in Johnson County, a southwestern suburb of metropolitan Kansas City. The center primarily serves patients from Johnson, Wyandotte and Miami counties in Kansas.

Shawnee Mission Medical Center composed of a free-standing outpatient surgery center, a community health educational building and fitness center, five medical office buildings, an associate child care center and a community fitness course. This 383-bed facility employs more than 2,600 local residents and supports an exceptional staff of more than 600 physicians, representing 50 medical specialties. The center provides medical treatments and services including general medicine, behavioral health, cardiovascular surgery, neurovascular surgery, gynecologic surgery, orthopedic surgery, urologic surgery, diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization. In addition, the medical center features a 24-hour emergency center; conveniently located Urgent Care Center; high-tech imaging capabilities with MRI, CT scans, nuclear medicine techniques, x-ray, ultrasound, mammography and cardiac catheterization; mental health and addiction recovery; general and same-day surgery suites; a birthing center; a cardiac rehab program; a surgical robotics center; ICU, Medical/Surgical rooms services.
