Satanta District Hospital
Satanta District Hospital is a general medical and surgical facility located in Satanta, Kansas. The hospital, with its 17 acute/swing beds and 44 long-term care beds, offers the services of consulting physicians in many areas of specialty. Since its opening in 1952, the hospital has been expanding its services to provide growing healthcare needs of the citizens of Haskell County and the surrounding area. Through several additions and expansions, the hospital has gained critical access status in August 2000.
Besides medical and surgical care, hospital provides services in the areas of laboratory, respiratory, radiology, physical therapy, nutrition, community health, restorative care, social services and counseling services.
Satanta District Hospital is a part of the Great Plains Health Alliance and the Pioneer Health Network and is affiliated with VHA, the Kansas Hospital Association, and the American Hospital Association. It is also home to the Western Kansas Child Advocacy Center.
