Huey P. Long Medical Center

Huey P. Long Medical Center is an acute general medical and surgical facility, offering accessible and competent healthcare services to the community. The purpose of the hospital was to provide medical care to the indigent population of Central Louisiana, including the parishes of Allen, Avoyelles, Catahoula, Concordia, Grant, LaSalle, Rapides, Vernon and Winn. A secondary mission is to provide for the medical education of physicians and allied health manpower of the state. It has been serving since 1939.

Huey P. Long Medical Center accepts both Medicare and Medicaid patients.
