Established in 1953, Franklin Foundation Hospital is a parish owned critical access facility. It provides quality health care services which meet the needs and exceed the expectations of patients and other customers in an environment of dignity and respect. Specialty services include respiratory care, cardiology, podiatry, internal medicine, cardiac rehabilitation, family practice, wound care, nuclear medicine, muscular disorders and brain injuries. The hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).
