Bay Regional Medical Center (BRMC) became a full service medical facility after the merger of four regional hospitals during the period of 1970 -1980. It is leading acute care facility serving the residents of north-east Michigan.

An array of acute, specialty, primary and preventive care services are delivered through the Bay Regional Medical Center - the main Campus and Bay Special Care Hospital, on the west campus. Cardiology, advanced neurosciences, open heart surgery, advanced diagnostics, women's health, orthopedic services, comprehensive rehabilitation and home health and hospice care are the key services provided.

BRMC has earned many awards and recognitions from famous healthcare institutions. The ‘Distinguished Hospital Award for Patient Safety’ in 2004, and ‘Keystone ICU’ award from Michigan Health and Hospital Association and Johns Hopkins University are the main awards received.

Bay Regional Medical Center accepts both Medicare and Medicaid patients.
