St Josephs Hospital
Generations of families have been served by St. Joseph's Hospital since its founding in 1853 by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. As Minnesota?s first hospital, St. Joseph's grew up with the river settlement called [stpaul]. Much has changed in health care since St. Joseph?s early days, but the practice of providing high quality, compassionate care remains constant. That heritage guides their principles of health care delivery as they enter the 21st century.
St. Joseph's Hospital has a 24-hour Emergency room and provides a comprehensive range of medical, surgical, diagnostic and rehabilitative services, as well as mental health and chemical dependency treatment.
Among St. Joseph's centers of excellence are state-of-the-art Heart Care, including open heart surgery, and comprehensive inpatient and outpatient Cancer Care.
St. Joseph's Hospital is a member of the University of Minnesota's Family Practice Residency Program and is Medicare-certified.
