Lake City Medical Center Mayo Health System

On Aug. 1, 1998, Lake City Hospital/Nursing Home joined Mayo Health System, and together with Lake City Clinic, formed Lake City Medical Center, which is part of the Mayo Health System. A groundbreaking ceremony for a new Lake City Hospital was held in October of the same year. The new hospital would connect Lake City Clinic and Lake City Nursing Home, forming an integrated medical center campus.

Lake City's new hospital, which opened in December 1999, combines the best of the old: personal, compassionate care and with the best of the new: advanced technology. Lake City Medical Center, which includes the clinic, hospital, and nursing home, believes its personal care combined with advanced technology are essential to provide the highest quality healthcare available. Lake City Medical Center's integrated facilities provide a continuum of healthcare services for the [lake city] community, from birth throughout life.
