Woodwinds Health Campus is proud to be one of the first hospitals in the country to design a model of care that involves the medical expertise of Acute Care Nurse Practitioners. With clinical training in critical care as well as general hospital care, Acute Care Nurse Practitioners at Woodwinds enhance patient care by providing 24-hour house coverage. Acute Care Nurse Practitioners work in collaboration with attending physicians to manage the care of patients, provide consultation and respond to unanticipated medical situations.
