A merger of Barnes Hospital and Jewish Hospital, Barnes-Jewish Hospital is the largest hospital in Missouri. It was started in 1996 and is now a member of BJC HealthCare, one of the largest health-care organizations of the state. The hospital is affiliated with Washington University School of Medicine, International Healthcare Services and Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology. It ranks top ten among Americanís best hospitals and has a premier reputation for patient care, medical education, research, and community service. Services include Diabetes Education and Nutrition counseling service, home health and hospice, infection control, pharmacy, social work services and spiritual care.
